About Florestan:

Florestan was champion of the 1988 Rhinelander stallion Licencing. He won his Stallion performace test in Warendorf with a total index of 129.02 points and was winner of the dressage and show jumping division.

Florestan became a true foundation stallion stamping his offspring. He was reserve champion of the 2011 WBFSH dressage sire ranking thanks to his successfull offspring competing at Grand Prix level in dressage. More than 2000 offspring are registered as competition horses in Germany.

Ninety sons are licensed for breeding (Fidermark, Florencio, French Kiss, First Dance, Festrausch, Fleurop, Florentinus V, Floresco, Florestano, Floreanus, Florett As, Furstenreich, Furst Heinrich just to name a few). Florestan has 222 States Premium mares and still counting.

Here is what the head of the State Stud at Warendorf, Susanne Schmitt-Rimkus has to say about Florestan.

“What makes a sire special is that he makes more good foals than bad ones – and that he improves on the mare, and Florestan has a very large percentage of good foals. Of course he has some which are not, but he is a ‘stamp’ stallion, he stamps his foals, nearly all of them have the type of their sire, you can recognize them. Here comes a foal – ‘oh a Florestan!’ This is something that makes it easier for a sire.”

“The other thing is that the Florestans are easy to handle, easy to ride,… the riders say they feel good. This is the most important thing for the normal market, the rider who wants to ride of an evening after he has done his work, who wants to have fun, who wants to make a good picture on the horse. Florestans are easy to sit on, and that makes success.”

About the Dam Belrose:

Belrose was imported from Germany and has had a very successful career as a broodmare. She has the sweetest temperment which she passes onto all of her foals. She is a first class mare with world class bloodlines. She is the direct daughter of Rubinstein out of a very well respected Mare line. Her Dam’s sire is Inschallah. This is the famous combination of bloodlines found in the well known Stallions: Royal Diamond, Rohdiamant, and Rubin Royal just to name a few. Belrose has produced numerous foals who are now competing successfully in the dressage ring. Her foals are beautiful, athletic, sensible and a joy to work with.
